FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions stand builders, agencies and organisers ask us before booking a crew in Madrid.

How do I hire an installation crew at IFEMA Madrid?

Send us the show name, the hall, your move-in and move-out dates and the approximate square metres of the stand. We come back with a crew size, a team leader and a fixed quote. StandCrew works as a subcontracted local crew for stand builders, agencies and organisers — you keep the client relationship, we put the hands on the floor.

Do you design or manufacture stands?

No. StandCrew only does physical execution: crew, coordination, logistics, installation, dismantling and storage. Design and manufacturing are handled by other brands in the Standorex group. That separation is deliberate — we are not a competitor to the builders who hire us.

Can you work from our technical drawings?

Yes. Every stand is assigned a team leader who reads the technical drawings before move-in and directs the crew from them. Send the drawings, the build sequence and any specific system instructions along with the booking.

How far in advance should I book a crew?

For a standard show, two to three weeks is comfortable. For the largest IFEMA fairs — FITUR, Fruit Attraction, ARCO — book four to six weeks out, because crew, forklifts and move-in slots are all scarce in those weeks. We do take last-minute and emergency bookings when we have crew free.

Do you work outside Madrid?

Yes. The crew is based in Madrid and works IFEMA as its home venue, but travels to any venue in Spain on request — Fira Barcelona, Feria Valencia, FIBES Sevilla, BEC Bilbao. Travel and accommodation are quoted separately.

Does your crew speak English?

Yes. Team leaders work in English and Spanish, which is the point of hiring a local partner: your project manager gives instructions in English and they reach the floor in Spanish without anything getting lost.

Can you receive our material before we arrive?

Yes. We receive material at the dock or at our warehouse, check quantities against the delivery note, flag damage or shortages before build day, and move it to the stand position within the venue's approved time slots.

What happens if something breaks during show days?

We keep standby crew available during show days. The emergency line runs through move-in, the show itself and move-out, so a broken panel or a failed fixing gets resolved before doors open rather than in front of visitors.

Do you store stands between shows?

Yes. We store structures, furniture and graphics between editions, so the same stand can go back up at the next show without shipping it back and forth across Europe.

How is the crew priced?

By the hour, by shift or by full event, depending on what suits the build. We scale headcount to the real size of the stand rather than applying a fixed minimum. Forklifts, transport, storage and waste removal are quoted as separate lines so you can see what you are paying for.
